Update #1

I wanted to give everyone a little update about this rally....

Most of you do not realize, you are getting four hosts for the price of one with this event. On top of that, all four of our wives will be your hostesses. Robandzoe, byamcaravanner, roverowner, and myself will be working very hard at making sure everyone has the best time possible.

We have been talking a great deal about details. One of our major goals with this event is to have very high return for a very a low cost. We also wanted this event to have the feel of a very early International or major event. So we felt the best way to achieve these goals was to make it a boon docking event. It has only been in modern times that trailerites required full hook ups every where they go. Our trailers were meant to be self contained and that is how we are going to handle this event. This is the perfect opportunity to try boon docking as you have always been afraid to do. Do not fret, it will all be a blast.

So what does this mean?

Electricity will not be supplied. Come with a full battery and leave with an empty one. Generators will be allowed, but only during certain hours. Solar is allowed as long as the sun will allow. Wind is allowed... you get the idea. Some of you might need all night power for a CPAP machine or other medical purposes. If that is the case please let us know in advance so we can park you in a good spot. You will need to use an ultra quiet generator, such as an EU1000. The location of this rally is very tranquil and we want everyone to be able to enjoy that.

Water will be supplied via daisy chain. You are asked to come with a full tank. YOU WILL BE ASKED TO CONSERVE IT!!! We will be trucking it in, so the amount that you use must be kept to a respectful amount. We are building a water tower and water will be supplied via gravity. You can really help out by bringing 2 -50 foot(two, fifty foot) white hoses and a "free flow wye"(free flowing "Y") so we can keep the water going down the line.

At the end of the weekend we will have a truck on site to empty your tanks contents. Porta pots will be convenient to all the campers. The company we used last year has very clean units and we will have the right number for our size group.

We will have a happy hour everyday. When you register we will give you a day that we ask for you to put something out for everyone to share. By giving you a day, you can put together something spectacular, and just come and enjoy the other days. We are still trying to figure out how many potluck suppers we will be having. My vote is every night, but I am a total sucker for a good potluck. Most likely Saturday night your hosts and some volunteers will be grilling up a huge steak dinner. Any vegetarians in the group will be taken care of. Please let us know when you register so we can make sure your dinner is as spectacular as everyone else's. I have almost finished putting together my staff to cook and serve breakfasts. Bacon, sausage, potatoes, and eggs to order will be served every morning. Pancakes or french toast will also be offered ever day. I am going to mix it up with corned beef hash, sausage gravy, and chipped beef. I might bring some scrapple also if anyone wants me to.

Now don't forget the fishing, the lifeguard at the swimming pool making sure your kids are safe, the hiking, the antiquing, and the professional fireworks show. Don't forget the moon bounce for the kids. Don't forget the 40 mile view, the fresh air, and the tranquil setting. We are working on some killer entertainment too. Maybe some Airstream super stars will come and talk. Maybe a clown will show you his bag of tricks. Maybe a magician will show you his bag of tricks. Hopefully some of you will bring your instruments and show us some of your tricks too. I almost forgot the homemade ice cream we are all going to make together. And most importantly the hayrides for young old.

Dogs are welcome but must be leashed due to county ordinance.

Once again, I personally want to say our trailers were designed and built to be self contained. Would it not be a sign of respect to prove that we can use them that way. As a gift to our products founder for his birthday, let's prove him right about his product.

Sign me up right? Well, soon. We are setting up a PayPal method of payment. A safe easy way to do it. Registration will begin on Jan 1, 2010 and be open to the first 79 people that sign up. This is the 79th year for Airstream so that is the number we are setting it at. This is a NOT a WBCCI rally. Badges will not be required, but make it much easier to learn and retain your name. Berets are highly optional.

How much? HOW MUCH? $125/ trailer with one adult. $150/trailer with 2 adults. Additional adults (18 and older) are $25. Any kid(or young adult, sorry) under the age of 18 is free.

Boondockin, Boondockin, Boondockin!!!

We're touting this as the boondocking of all boondocking rallies here in the East. So, here's a web site we all think is pretty funny... but something to keep in mind for the WBBB - we'll have a few sets of Porta Potty's around the farm for the event.

Enjoy!
